Why is infill 3D model warping when clean?

When infill in a 3D model warps, it’s usually caused by uneven cooling between less dense infill and denser outer layers/build plate, leading to differential shrinkage that distorts the model.

- Infill cools faster (more air exposure) than outer walls, contracting quicker and pulling on adjacent layers—this is worse with high-shrink materials like ABS or PETG.

- Fixes: Lower infill cooling fan speed (slow cooling), use a heated build plate (keep layers consistent), or add a brim (improve bed adhesion and reduce warping).
