Why does my weight painting 3D model unnatural in Mixamo?

Uneven or misaligned weight painting with Mixamo’s rigging logic is why your 3D model movements look unnatural.

Why does my weight painting 3D model unnatural in Mixamo?

Uneven or misaligned weight painting with Mixamo’s rigging logic is why your 3D model movements look unnatural.

Weight painting controls how bones influence vertices—if joints (knees, elbows) have overlapping, missing, or overly broad weights, Mixamo’s auto-rigging can’t smooth movement. Poor topology (too few loops around joints) also creates harsh transitions.

To fix it, refine weights around high-movement areas (shoulders, hips) with a soft brush in your 3D software before uploading—this helps Mixamo’s rigging map weights more naturally.
